What defines Mid Century Modern?

What defines Mid Century Modern? Clean lines, organic curves, different materials, and designers that are still held in high regard today such as Heywood Wakefield. Even though Mid Century Modern lasted from the mid 1930’s to the mid 1960’s, the timeless quality and style influences many decorating themes today. Mid Century Modern is the “pumpkin spice” of interior design. In fact, it seems the world is obsessed with Mid Century Modern. It was the era of astronauts, and the race to space. It’s a style of its’ own, and has certainly stood the test of time. Check out these very cool, and groovy (yes, I said groovy) Mid Century Modern looks I’ve included with this article. Don’t stop there because we are putting our own Mid Century Modern pieces in the spotlight this week beginning with two Heywood Wakefield’s. Keep scrolling.
