Adding a large piece of vintage furniture such as a hutch, or buffet is an added investment to your home without breaking the bank.
Big hutches might seem archaic to some. Hutches can readily be found in thrift stores. In fact, we did a quick search within 10 miles of our location, and found one for $50, two for $75 and one for $125.
Then there’s Grandma’s hutch. The one that found its’ way into your garage. It holds sentimental value, but has remained there without a purpose. (we’re pulling from personal experience)
Hutches can easily be remade, reinvented, re-purposed into almost any room in your home.
An old, tired hutch can be re-purposed into two pieces of furniture by separating the top from the bottom.
Don’t be afraid to put a twist on tradition with a little paint and creativity.
We’ve included some pictures of clever ways to put that old hutch to new use.
