Today, we are featuring some of our A. Brandt pieces.

August Brandt, a German immigrate established Brandt in 1901 Hagerstown Md.

The company introduced the Ranch Oak line in 1938. Ranch Oak, made in Fort Worth Texas remained their most popular line of furniture featuring a “ranch life” theme for several decades.

In 1953 Brandt made front page news when a Brandt table was photographed displaying top secret atomic bomb information lying on it.

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg we’re convicted of conspiring with the Soviet Union. To this day, historians still study the scandalous Rosenberg case. At that time, Brandt was producing pieces under government contact for both military housing, and national parks.

Brandt remained a quality and popular line of furniture until 1986 when the family sold the company. Soon after the sale, the company went out of business and the remaining inventory was sold at auction.

Brandt remains popular to both collectors, and those who desire timeless, quality made furniture.
